Fall 2018 Student Showcase Features Talented Musicians of All Ages

The weekend before Christmas break was chock full of musical performances for the students of Centre Music House. Friday night featured the first ever House Band Benefit Concert for the local charity, Timothy’s Toy Box. Then, on Sunday, December 16th, 2018, close to 100 students plus their friends and family members convened at the Amazing Things Arts Center in downtown Framingham for the bi-annual Student Showcase.

Across four sessions throughout the day, audiences enjoyed performances on everything from the piano, guitar, and violin to the trumpet, drums, and singing.

Several student ensembles made appearances including a clarinet duet playing a Beethoven Sonata, a trio of sisters on the drums, ukulele, and voice performing ‘Riptide,’ and a father-son duo playing the classic song ‘Misty.”

Instructors were on site to offer some last minute advice and encouragement to their students who were performing that day.

The house band, Alt-Hideaway (fresh off the stage of their successful benefit concert) stopped by to open up the fourth and final session of the day. They played ‘Whole Lotta Love’ by Led Zeppelin and ‘Hey Bulldog’ by The Beatles.

To all of our students who performed that day we’d like to congratulate you on a job well done. Your talents and hard work shone through in your performances.

With each passing showcase, we watch you progress as musicians and it’s a wonderful thing to see.

With the guidance and caring of your teachers and love and support from your family you can do great things. Keep up the great work!

We look forward to seeing you at the next Student Showcase this coming June.
