Coronavirus Response Update

Hey everyone,

Two days ago I sent out a message about the steps we’re taking to ensure we keep Centre Music House as safe and healthy as possible for our community of students, families, customers, teachers, and staff (you can read that message here).

A lot can happen in just a couple of days and with the recently confirmed case of COVID-19 in Framingham it’s obvious we need to take more aggressive action to keep everyone safe.

We are cancelling all music lessons for the rest of the week. There are no music lessons today, tomorrow, and Saturday (3/12, 3/13, and 3/14). I want to be clear that I’m making this decision out of an abundance of caution. It’s important that we keep everyone home while local health professionals work to understand the extent of the spread of infection in Framingham and surrounding towns.

We are going to credit student’s accounts for these cancelled lessons.

Trust me, this sucks. As a small business this hurts us and our employees. But what sucks even more is getting sick or, worse yet, getting other people sick.

We plan to be back open on Monday, March 16th. Meanwhile we’re taking it a day at a time and doing what we think is best for everyone.

In planning more long-term, we’re also going to look into offering online Skype lessons. If you could, please take a second to fill out this survey to let us know if Skype lessons would be of interest to you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message and stay tuned for future updates from Centre Music House.

Until next time, keep calm, be smart, and stay safe!

Sincerely,

Max Larson
